چکیده
The improvement of a low concentration gas detection system based on the intracavity fiber laser is proposed in this paper. The sensitivity of the system is deduced based on Lambert-Beer law. The optimized system was established with the gas cell made elaborately. In order to apply the wavelength sweeping technique, the fiber Bragg grating reflector was substituted by the wavelength independent Faraday rotation reflector. The sensitivity of the system for acetylene detection is reduced to less than 100 ppm by using the average of three absorption spectra. The acetylene detection coefficients of variation with different concentrations are measured. The gas measurement system is validated to detect low concentration gas effectively.

متن کاملDetection of Gas Concentration by Correlation Spectroscopy Using a Multi-wavelength Fiber Laser
A correlation spectroscopy (COSPEC) based on a multiwavelength fiber laser is first proposed for the detection of gas concentration. The lasing wavelengths are selected to match several characteristic absorption peaks of the gas under test, and the gas concentration is easily measured by correlating it with the reference gas. The present method is immune from the instability of the light source...
متن کاملSub-100-fs 1.87 GHz mode-locked fiber laser using stretched-soliton effects
Current pulsed fiber lasers that are capable of delivering stable sub-100-fs pulses at megahertz repetition rates require intracavity pulse energies in the nanojoule range. Scaling these lasers to gigahertz repetition rates necessitates, therefore, very high average power levels and complex cladding-pumped configurations. Here we report a type of stretchedsoliton all-fiber laser that generates ...

We proposed a new method for gas detection in photoacoustic spectroscopy based on acousto-optic Q-switched fiber laser by merging a transmission PAS cell (resonant frequency f₀ = 5.3 kHz) inside the fiber laser cavity. The Q-switching was achieved by an acousto-optic modulator, achieving a peak pulse power of ~679 mW in the case of the acousto-optic modulation signal with an optimized duty rati...
